I slept awhile in between, but is really boring for me ...
In between, during the toilet stop, there are some stores that we can buy some handcrafts... I din get to go for shopping because i was sleeping...
Finally around 12noon, we reached... this place is quite cozy because it is at hillside...
Don't be mistaken, this is not the real canopy...
We had our lunch first before our activities start... while mommy was busy eating, I played with kor kor and jie jie (while daddy was busy taking photos)...
"Why your daddy gives my mommy so much work till she comes back late everyday?!!!
You better tell your daddy to let my mommy go home earlier, understand??!!!"
(FYI... these kor-kor and jie-jie are the children of my mommy's bosses... kekeke)

As it was raining outside, we rented the private room ... actually I really dunno what is so great of the poring hot spring... to me it is nicer to bathe in the hotel room...
Actually, the highlight here is canopy rather than poring hot spring ... the activity was delayed a bit because of raining ... mommy feels bad for daddy to miss the experience of walking on the tallest canopy in Malaysia ... to mommy, it is ok because she had experienced the longest canopy in Malaysia at Taman Negara when she was young...
As the schedule has been delayed due to raining, our program has changed, we did not get to go to Kinabalu Park, but just managed to go to Kundasang War Memorial...
After the poring hot spring, I slept well in the bus when coming down from hillside for the entire 3 hours... thus mommy and I did not get down from the bus to this memorial but daddy took some pictures to share with us...
The tour-guide said that this type of orchid worths GBP3000...
(wah lao eh... dunno how true is that)
Here I must introduce someone “important” to you. The most interesting part for this trip is the island hopping. In fact, the KL tour-guide (city type) advised my pregnant mommy not to go because they are using the small speed boat and the sea could be quite choppy. Whereas the KK tour-guides (jungle and mountain tracking type), Uncle James Chew and his wife, Auntie Marianne encouraged mommy to go because Auntie Marianne also climbed Mount KK when she did not aware that she was 2 months pregnant and ended up her son likes mountain very much.
Uncle James is very adventurous, he is a very experienced tour-guide for jungle tracking, climbing Mount KK and 4-wheeling adventurous activities. Uncle James was the chief guide (responsible for the cameramen and contestants) in the first Survivor series in the Borneo jungle. His knowledge of the jungle, the culture and plant life is superb.
He has many experiences in taking kids (actually they are teenagers) and foreigners to jungle tracking and visiting wild lives (e.g. Orang Utan). He said from his experience he found that kids from Penisular Malaysia (particularly from Selangor) are very unfit because they have been badly tortured by him during jungle tracking!!! So scary!!! (Hopefully daddy mommy won't send me to this kind of camp in future)
On our way to the hillside, he talked for 4 hours non-stop (very fit at the age of 49) which kept mommy awake to take care of me. He tells very wide range of stories, from the lifestyle of natives, to their social life, do's and don’ts during jungle tracking and visiting Oran Utan, his experiences in handling Survivor program, how Sabah people preserve the wild lives and plants to promote tourism, etc etc… And he also shared some “X-file” type of stories when getting down from the hillside to explain why people can get lost in the jungle and can never be found alive… sounds scary-nya…
Along the journey, uncle James also recounted his upbringing here and recited the lineage of his eight different bloodlines, one of which was the infamous headhunter tribe - Murut.
Anyway, we must thank Uncle James -- without him, our trip will not be so fun…
Meanwhile, you got to be patient a bit cause the posting on Island Hopping will take some time to be uploaded as there are too many nice pictures and we need time to select...
