Kek Lok Si Temple

We first went on Saturday morning but it was raining when we reached there... hence we headed towards Queensbay Mall...

On Sunday morning... I quickly get myself dressed so that we can revisit the temple...

Let's go......

Daddy parked our car at the carpark near the market place... then we walked all the way up... passing through many stalls selling clothes, souvenirs etc...

We first reached a pond which is full of tortoises...!!

Then we passed through a walkway where there is a vegetarian restaurant and where there is a huge rock/wall with thousands of words engraved... what's the meaning of those word, daddy???

Hurray, we finally reached the temple...

Wah... the pagoda is so high up on the hill......!!
Daddy mommy... let's go there... quick...
(but how come i see daddy starts sweating liao...??)

This is taken on the way up...

and the pagoda is nearer now...

Here we reached the compound of which the pagoda is located...

Here we are... at the 3rd level of the pagoda...

We managed to go up to the 2nd highest level...
Wow... the view is so nice from up here......

We can see the bronze Kuan Yin Statue so clearly from the pagoda...

To go to the Kuan Yin Statue, we took this lift...

...the 1st inclined lift in Malaysia... cool...!!!

Wow... we are so high up... can see the town so far down there...

We finally reached the Kuan Yin Statue...
...this is the old statue......

... and this is the new Kuan Yin Statue... made from bronze...

currently, there is construction going on here...

This doggy bench is so cute...

I was born in the doggy year...

... while daddy was in the year of dragon...

... and mommy was in the year of Tiger...

There is a pond with many fish...

It was a hot and tiring day... and a whole day of "cheng-cheng" (praying)...
